Nick Kossaras, CPA, Principal

Nick is a principal in Maner Costerisan’s Audit department. He has been with the firm for 10 years, after joining in January 2014 upon graduating from college. Nick specializes in assurance engagements in Maner’s affordable housing and education clients and serves on the niche committee for both of those practice areas. In addition to his core responsibilities, Nick is deeply involved with the audit department’s strategic planning and is currently researching next-generation audit software, which will lead the firm into the future.

Nick fell in love with accounting while taking classes at Michigan State University. As he learned more about the industry and the work it entails, it became the perfect fit. Nick, who thrives in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, appreciates working closely with clients, solving their unique challenges and making them more efficient.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting, Nick currently lives in St. Johns, Michigan, where he was raised. He is happily married to Stephanie Kossaras, whom he met at Maner Costerisan, and is the proud father of their two sons, Geo and Jackson. He also has a black lab named Willow, a silver lab named Sully, and a cat named Zelda.

In his free time, Nick enjoys spending time in northern Michigan, golfing, and cooking. He is a big sports fan, particularly football and basketball, and enjoys watching games with his family and friends.
